yeah i'm lookin into the 5.3 oil pan and ls2 pans as we speak and i would love to do that march pulley system but they are so expensive...
Dejavu   +1y
the march pully systems are a third cheaper than billet specialties! sucks huh?

Yeah Rigo, use a oil pan off the trucks...4.8, 5.3, 6.0L based trucks. I think there is a couple LS1 s10s on www.s-seriesforum.com also, Scream might have some better ideas too. Wouldnt hurt to check out www.performancetrucks.net which is a ls1tech kick off for trucks, should be a bunch of them over there.

Those are all common problems with the ls1 swap. I haven't done the ls1, I've done a 98 5.7L fullsize truck motor. Check out s10forum.com/forum the V8 section there is a lot of info regarding accessories and notching the frame for this swap. Someone also made a manual for this specific swap. (not the jagsthatrun manual)

yeah i'm getting that manual but it hasnt come in yet so looking into what else we need to know in the mean time...

my buddy did the ls1 switch. he made crossmember and motofied oil pan and made headers and prolly more.

building all that stuff isnt the problem.... we were more of on a time frame that is causing us to try and work with the fastest ways to get it in... looking into the acessories now... the billet ones are nice but may just go the easier route for now with the vette acessories....

Here are a few pics of mine. Had to notch the crossmember.Used a truck oil pan that was notched, shorted, and drain was relocated. O and rerouted the pickup tube. All the acessories are from Street & Performace. I'm in the process of putting in a new floor and firewall to clear the 1 7/8" longtube headers. Hit me up if you need anymore info!
