I know there are lots of posts on this. But I cannot find a solution. I have got rid of the charcoal canister on my truck, therefore it runs really rough and idles crappy and overallruns like sh$t now. I have replaced spark plugs and wires, egr valve, all of the sensors they recommend replacing. I know there are a list of other things Ive done to it but I cant recall off the top of my head. Somebody, please help me. What could I do to fix this? Could it be a vacuum problem?

have you thought of putting the charcoal canister back on?

I would... but to be perfectly honest. I dont think that would solve the problem my truck is having. Its plugged too. ANd I threw it away. HAha. Any other suggestions.

does it run like poo all the time or any specific occasion? does it get better once it gets hot? how many miles are on it?
tbmx86   +1y
It gets a tiny bit better when its hot but not enough to really notice unless you drive it everyday. IT has 138k on it.

Well I threwmine away. Does anyplace sell them or am I going to have to go junkyard surfing?

check autozone, as much as they suck at life, they do tend to have some odd stuff. If nothing else they can order you one from there junkyard distributors. I'd check to see how much one would run you from them.

U DONT NEED THE CHARCOAL CANISTER --- AND IM SURE ITS NOT THE PROBLEM --- I DONT HAVE MINE AND HAVE NOT HADIT ON THE TRUCK IN THE PAST 2 YEARS ---- CHECK AN OPEN VACUME LINE OR MAYBE ITS A FUEL PUMP PROBLEM --- MY 2 CENTS

if it ran fine before u took it off, get one and put it back on, other that that it could be vaccum
