83-97 ibeams83-88 had balljoints in the beams,bolt on bracket on the radius arm for the shock89-97 had balljoints in the spindle, stud on the radius arm for the shock.89-94 uses the same spindle but still uses the same brakes from 83-94.95-97 has bigger brakes and dual pistion calipers and different spindles(diff way of mounting brakes)83-87 all use the same radius arm and transmission crossmembers.98-current 2wd (non edge/trailhead) has control arm suspension00 model trail head/01-current EDGE/SPORT(06) model has 4x4 suspension(t bars and rack n pinion steering mounted right above the LCA minus the 4wd crap. same as explorer,95-01

Thanks for the info guys. I mainly want to be well informed for customers but we got a couple ranger guys in here and one was saying that when the edge came out, all rangers switched to torsions..

I love my I-beams. That is what makes it different from all of the other mini's. The Beam Rangers don't cost so much to bag. If a shop tells you rangers are the hardest truck to bag over any other...They are just robbing you.

not the hardest to truck to lay, but getting lift to turn on big wheels is next to impossible on them w/ bags. it takes a ton of fab work and alot of PSI to turn w/ them.
