Heres the skinny....yeh I said skinny. If you plan on using the primer for a while use primer sealer not primer surfacer. It will have a slight sheen to it, almost like and eggshell or semigloss if done correctly. PPG K36 Primer sealer actually has the clear hardener mixed into it and it will last waaaay longer than a standard primer. But do not add too much base tinter to it to make the colour darker. The more tinter you have the more chance of it bleeding when you finally paint the car, or worser yet lowering the binder effect in the primer and possibly causing delamination problems. If you wanna rock a permanent flat colour use a flattening agent in your clear, or if you wanna go all out use ALSA flat clear, it almost feels like slightly rubbereized, and you can buff it and it will stay flat.
