i used a f-150 master cylinder in my 00 ranger w/ my hydroboost & then used my ranger brake booster on my 04 f-150. the only thing you have to mess with is how they connect to the brake pedal, The push rods are different. im pretty sure that alot of master cylinders use the same 2 bolt pattern as the hydroboost, cause i fitted chevy ford ect... up to it and worked fine, the only problem i had was finding the fittings that plug into the master cylinder. You dont want to use the stock ranger one cause the brake lines are pointing twords the tire before they start their bend which is just less room for the wheel...once you understand how they hydroboost is plumbed its real simple to understand, just a piggybacking system, only thing that sucks is since ford power steering pump kinda make a moaning sound when you turn, it will also make this sound when you hit the brakes if you have hydroboost. But its one hell of a brake upgrade. stop on a dime and get 2 nickles change is how they advertise it.
