HOW MUCH DID YOU PAY (sheet metal)

I'm getting ready to shave my box on my sonoma and called for prices on 16g sheet metal . The metal place told me a 4x8 sheet runs 96 bucks !!!!! Damn that seems about double of what i payed two years ago ..I planed on using about 3 sheets (all four sides and floor) does that sound about right?

all metal has gone up in price in the past couple years...and you wont need 3 sheets....I did my entire bed in way less than 2 full sheets and had alot of scrap left

are you talking about that step side in the photo? I'm going to be doing a fleet side so i'll need alittle more for the floor ... what did you pay a sheet?

HR Sheet 16ga 4x8 priced out for me a month ago was $124.18, so I'd say your price isn't bad. Steel went through the roof, now it's an investment to do any sort of work. Used to you could just got buy what ya needed and if you messed up, well ... go get some more. Now it's prep a million times, cut/bend/weld once. LOL Good luck.

honestly i dont remember what i paid for it man..its been a while.....and yea its for my stepside so I guess you will need a lil bit more that I did

I went to the closes metal supplier around to get a sheet, and they wanted $348 for a single sheet of 16 guage, 4x8. I didnt know what to say. The guy asked me what was wrong, and I told him he was high.

So I drove an extra 20 miles to get it for $160.

at the local metal yard less than 5miles away, a 4x8 sheet of 16g is $48 bucks. i guess thats a good price.

I just paid $63.65 for a 4x8 sheet of 16ga.

I am paying 45 for a 4x10 here.

I'd kill to pay that much for a 4x8 sheet. Two years ago it was like $90 here. I thought that was reasonable then. Come ot find out I'm being raped over here in CA.
