I hate not having a system. Anyone have anything for sale? Does anyone know if the 300 watt Kicker amp for sale in the classifieds would be good to push two base model Lightning Audio 12s?

havin seen the price on the amp but if the price is right go for it but honestly the watts sound a lil low, i havent been into the audio scene for awile so i really dunno what out there. good luck tho man

Yeah the amps goin for like 100 or 125 I think. Oh and the subs are 150 watts RMS a piece so it should sound alright.. but ive never had lightning audio or kicker so I wouldnt know. The only subs ive ever ran are Rockfords and the only amps - Orions.

man you should go with the lightning audio subs . my buddy has 2 12's in a custom box in his ranger and they sound great. you just have to remember its not the speakers its the box ...if you put a awsome speaker like a JL audio in a crappy box it will sound like crap. just whatever speaker you get build the box to the exact specifications of the sub and it will sound fine. and the lightning audio sub is made by rockford fosgate so it cant be to bad.

I have the lightning audio 10" amp/sub combo in my truck, it won't shake the block but it's great for my listening tastes

If u want a hard hitting system then don't go with lightning audio. About a year ago i was looking at some 12in lightning audio's either at best buy or circuit city and they blew up on the display with a lightning audio amp pushing them. If u want a good system cheap try ebay i bought my system about 3 years ago off ebay and it's still hitting hard as hell i got 2 12" kicker L5's and a kx 1200.1 class d amp

I have 2 10" Xplods and a 1000 watt Xplod amp in my standard cab, and those things POUND. I think mine are rated at 1100, but the 12's are 1300? i'm not sure. I got my stuff at Walmart, lol, but its still the best sytem i've ever had. I'm about to redo it and get my buckets in and fiberglass them in the middle. You could pick up the same amp and the 12's for just over $300
