OH and one more thing about shippers:
They ship on their timetable. Not yours. So your car may sit at the depot for upwards of three months.
Door to door costs about double depot to depot.
Unless they tell you in writing that it will be enclosed shipping, it could be sent via car hauler or even multi car trailers sub contracted to other fifth wheel drivers.
The depot's are sub contracted, not owned by the shipping company. Usually its a towing company (it is here in Wichita) with a fenced lot. You have no guarantee against theft or damage while at the depot, read the contract, its in there big as life.
They have to move your car a lot on and off the trailer to balance the load and allow loading of other cars, freuently truckers smoke or smell bad, so be prepared.
Did I mention they ship on THEIR schedule, not yours? You will pay 1100 and wait and wait and wait.
