Do the prismatic lens make these reflective?

i lived in michigan when i had them and they were legal. i had the FBI ones. All you had to have was a red reflective light and blinkers, only thing you lost was your white light for backing up.

yea are the ones that jance has up legal?

from what i understand you just need to have lights that reflect red, show when you hit the brakes, and blinks when you are going to turn, of course glow at night. The placement might differ from state to state. My buddy is a cop and he never said anything illegal about them, i've also been tailgated pretty hard by cops and never gotten pulled over for atleast taillights. But the ones that jance has up are probably better quality then the FBI ones, probably brighter. The white you dont have to have. I rather get those lights cause you have the white, helps from getting hit by a car when backing up. I also had a lexan window with the same l.e.d. light in it, just cause the flush mount lights were in the bottom of my truck so i worried about people not seeing me braking, so i got the third light. This is in michigan, i'm pretty sure most states they would be legal.

yea my dad is a cop but i dont want 2 ask him cause he will prolly tell me that they are when they arent,

I've heard it every which way. It has to be show red on the functions and the lens needs to be red also.

My question is, do the actual lens need to be reflective like the stickers on semi's and safety markings?

I believe in Texas they are illegal. I was wondering the same thing and someone told me they are illegal. Just ask your dad that one of your "friends" was wondering...lol

the prismatic lenses are not for reflecting light back from other lights, as in the car following you. the prismatic lenses, are for making the led light being emitted from the LED, disperse thus making them a "fuller" beam of light. we have all seen the led keychains, one single led, that makes one single lazer like beam of light, well when you have a bunch of those, what do you have? abunch of lazer like light beams shooting out of your tailiaghts. so to make them more visible at an angle, because most people arent driectly behind you, the prismatic lenses disperse the light beam in different directions, hence prismatic, or prism. think pink floyd almbum cover.

"any" cop is gunna pull you over and ticket you if they feel like it. the new leds lighting available today is so bright, officers, should never give you any problems, reflector or not. the problem most officers have, is not the lights, but the beat down nasty nonsafe vehicle those poor lights are hooked to. lets take street rods for example. they have some of the smallest lights in the auto world -but you never see them gettin pulled over right? thats because coppers believe that 150k street rod is prolly owned by a well respected civilian. even the now popular rat rods dont get attention for the same reason. now you take a 600 beat up mini thats railin all over the place, and yeah doesnt matter how much money you have, your gunna get a ticket. been there done that.

hell yea it just profileing,i know in the town i live in when i had 5%window tint on my truck i got like 2 tickets,but all the rednecks can ride around in their hick trucks {with windows so dark u need a flashlight 2 see me}and they sont say shit 2 them,yea im just gona ask my dad and i will post it later
