wat yall think about this idea ..........

ok wat do yall think of this idea im thinkin of puttin a carburated motor in my 2001 chevy truck cause its got a v6 in it and a 4l60e which is all out garbage, but the motor i have has a big cam so i dont get any vacuum from it and i want to body drop it and all that good shit and instead of spendin $700 on a hydrobooster i was thinkin of mountin this under the floor like the cars from the 50s in doin so i could clean up the firewall, peaple would think i dont have any brakes, and if i wanted it to could possibly lay out on 26s( not that i can afford them) but we can all dream right? so wat yall think of this idea? ...............

if you put floor mounted pedals in so you can work the brakes would be cool. not only would you clean up the fire wall but under the dash as well

ya the picture of the thing got deleted so i tried it again now it makes a little more since when u see the master cylinder ...........

go for it... the only problem with runnin a carb on a 01 that i see is gittin the thing to pass inspection with emmisions and all..... i dont know how they are where ur from but they ruff with 96 and up vehicles around here

and how tall is that brake set up? or do u plan on trad. BDing it

haha, inspection here is a joke where we go u bring the insurance and registration and your ten bucks and the guy gives u the brake tag to put on yourself ................... traditional body drop, the motor im thinkin of puttin in there has alot of torque and i dont trust a stock floored chassis with alot of torque, and the height of the brake setup shouldnt be to big since its a manual master cylinder ........... i think the biggest problem ima have is tryin to find a manual rack and pinion steering setup for it since i dont wanna run power steering, but i may have to idk yet ..........

lockone can u get these wheels? and if u can do they come in different widths i want a staggered look like 22x9 in the front and 22x11 outback are somewhere around those lines i know there cheap wheels so idk if there available in different widths ................. there american racing RTS wheels (black) for a 2001 silverado 6 lug ........... just lookin to see wat options i have for wheels if i decide to build this thing .........

Are you keeping the 4L60e? I don't know if you can use that trans with a carbed motor because it's electronically controled..... I'm running a behind the dash brake booster in my dime, I didn't want anything poking up out of my floor and didn't want to risk layin the truck out on something that could chance hitting it, plus I don't have near as much room as a full size, and I didn't want anything on the firewall, so I went with the behind the dash kind so the pedals look normal but the booster and master cylinder are all hidden......

no the 4l60e is junk im puttin in a built th350 in it ....... i never really thought about ridin it low and havin somethin hit the master cylinder that would be bad lol i could maybe build somethin around it like some kind of cage are somethin ..........

since ur 4l60e tranny is junk can i have it? i gotta 2001 6.0 engine i need a tranny
