I want a primer that looks like this. baby blue or maybe a more of a teal.. but I talked to the guy back at showfest and he told me he tinted white primer with a blue. but i know your not supposed to do that because the paint wont stick as well. anyways where can i buy pre-tinted primer that will look something like this?

thanks,

Sikkens has color build primer codes. Just go to your paint shop and ask for it. There are several different colors to choose from.

im pretty sure when the time comes to paint it that the paint shop will knock it down and then reprimer it. i doubt they'll juss shoot right over the top of it so you won't have to worry about the paint not stickin.

i heard if you mix paint with primer to tint it you will mess up the adhesion propertiers of the primer and it wont bond good... thats what i heard.

It adheres fine if you do it all correctly. My friend's truck has been primered with tinted orange primer for like 3 years now, not a sign of peeling or flaking or anything.

I think he means that the final paint won't stick as well? Not sure...The primer/paint combo should stick okay, but I don't recommend painting over primer that's been on the truck over an extended period. Shooting a sealler over it would probably help too.
