painting a afctory dash

What are you guys sanding on the dash with, the dash texture as well as the paint after it's cleared. only reason i ask is because of all of the curves, contours and tight spaces would make it difficult to sand everything smooth somttimes.

make sure you bulldog that shit before painting it!! bulldog will make paint stick to dirt

I used a da and where it wouldnt go hand sanded.

you have to sand the texter off if you do not over time it will peal and crack the pimer will not stick good over texter

I hit mine with 180 on a DA and what ever else by hand. Plastic Adhisive promoter then prime. Id hit it again with 220 to make sure the texture is out and hit raw plastic with the adhisive promoter if it shows.

becarefull cuz alot of dash's like in the s-10 have a foam under the textured stuff and can crack

Mine has a hard platic cover on top. It could look better but it still looks good.
