escalades are made to be hub centric and not carry the weight of the truck only on the lugs.
now an escalade weighs about 3 tons and the mazda truck just over 1 1/2 ton. Plus the mazda has 6 lugs to distribute the weight, and bagged mazdas rarely carry anything whereas escalades frequently carry 5 people and tow boats.
So is it likely to fail on a mazda with ground hubs? no. I had mine machined though. The drawback to using the holesaw method is you cant have the wheels balanced on a machine any longer. The drawback to grinding hubs is you almost always gouge up the studs unless you thread a few spare lug nuts on them.
Like I said, I had mine machined.
