Hey guys. I have a question. I have an 89 gmc sierra and was wondering... I don't have a welder or sheet metal tools at my disposal and i wanted to build a dash for my truck. So heres my question. If i used wood to build it and reinforce the shape. Which will be very basic in shape. No crazyness here just plane and simple *CLEAN*!! Now i am not gonna fiberglass and paint it. Or at least i wasn't planning on it. I wanted to wrap it in vynil like my console and have it meet the console. Will i run into any problems with using wood an wrapping it in vinyl? Any help would be good. Or if you could help build me a metal dash here in oklahoma city im me!!

i would say your best bet is to go ahead and do some fiberglassing before you do the vinyl, otherwise i don't see how you could get a smooth shape

Theres other shops in Oklahoma that do very good work. Some that have worked on multiple cover trucks but they stay so busy they don't advertise...
