How are you gettin through emissions???

here in az its just as bad as being in cali. but in cali you can go to "jiffy libe" and have someone emission you car, where as here in az, you go to the emissions place, and if anything is out of place, or not factory they flag you, and you cant register your auto

kentucky there is no smog anything. i just moved from california and in order to register your truck you have to get your truck smogged and then get it done every other year. i was just talkin to a buddy of mine, he was telling me that they just passed a law in ca that now in order to get your car smogged they put it on a dyno. test it at idle speed then at 30 mph to simulate normal driving conditions.

How do you go about getting your truck registered as a show vehicle, mine's due this month and I thought about just saying srcew it? haha

You have to bring it in... my friend went to jail for like 45 days just for not bringing his truck in... LOL... but go to the emmisions station... and ask them for a petition for exemption... they will give you the proper forms to submit....



hey snakes which emissions are you bringing it to, the one by harlem and irving and they sent me away!

i dont have a v8 yet maybe in time but in south carolina no ispection no anything. Mybe ur insureance guy will come out to see it and say ok, but in my case he usualy is more interesting lookin for his own pleasure. Hes a car nut lol and he is amazed how my truck lays body and it will jump up so i can drive it lol.

HAHA that's pretty crappy, but it's not my daily driver. Thanks man, I'll have to go down there and check it out......

i have a 88 s-10 wit a 350 but no emissions in alabama.

up north here in Ontario, you don't need emissions testing if you have an engine that was not a factory option for that year. Right now I'm getting set up to drop a Ford 302 in my 2200.

not true for all of ontario.. maybe your area.. but i have a 86 ranger with a 302.. never came in that truck and i was tested at a 1982 standard they class is as a hot rod.. still took me 4 tries to pass..being in the hot rod class the numbers are different and you dont need cats... however its pretty much impossible to pass without them at least thats what i found

I take my truck to the emmsions place in Downers Grove, IL... but it shouldn't matter what emmisions place you take it to... Just ask for a petition for a showcar/racecar exemption...

in Texas they do the same thing but only 95 and older go on the dyno
