Yes I did. But then again I cut off my upper mounts completely to make something cleaner. And I still had to drop my motor, modify the drag link, and build a new front crossmember. I think I could have Zd it in a weekend with everything done, not a weeks worth of work.

It may be because I've only done it once, but on the next one I won't do it again. I'd love to start with a new frame at this point just to do so if I didnt have so much work in the one I have already.

would I be better off zing it and putting a piece of 1inch tubing under my lower arm crossmember, so when its fully laid out the lower crossmember isnt craming into the ground? Im dropping a 302 motor in it, so im not worried about motor clearance, it should clear with more than enough room.

I will be even EASIER to Z the frame with the motor out of it.

You could Z the truck in a couple hours or less if you know your way around a shop and have some decent tools.

oh yeah, im actually picking up the bare frame tomorrow, and if i wanted i could just lay it on my level piece of slab adn cut it and z it in probably 2 hours. but Im trying to figure out if there is any better reason to section and raise everything besides motor clearance. Bc if motor clearance is the issue, then Ill just z it.

well just remember to take lots of measurements either way and make a sketch with them on it...makes it easier to keep everything straight
