i know its giving me more than enough power the 500 watt amp i had hit decently and this amp is pushing it way harder they hit extremly hard inside but theres not much outside the car like i want but it has a terrible box that has no air for the subs i think that may have something to do with it and i have no clue how to qire it to 4 ohms per channel thats what i needed help on

your subs are wired right your problem is the amp. Ive been an installer for 15 years and you do need either a 2 ohm stable mono amp or a 1 ohm stable 2 channel amp. your problem is that your amp is only going to put out 1200 watts if it is at 4 ohm mono (and lightning hits it) and you are in 4 ohm stereo so YOU ARE ONLY GETTING HALF THE POWER if your lucky. Go get yourself a new amp and youll be fine check out the rockford power series or punch series and youll find something that will work. Probly cost a bit more but well worth it!i couldnt said it any better. i just got a Power T3002 thats "rated" at 50x2 watts. The amp birthed at 850watts X 1 @ 2ohm. Thats sum serious 50x2 watts if you ask me!

Like i said if u want to get full power out of an amp with those subs u will need a 2ohm stable class d amp but if u want to stay with the one u have now u will have to wire one sub to each channel. To wire each sub at 4ohms wire the HOT from one voice coil to the GROUND of the other coil and the HOT and GROUND that is left wire them to one channel of the amp and do the other sub the same way

I have sound stream amp and it stable at 2ohm or 4ohm and I have 2ohm sound stream speakers. The shop ran the speakers in parallel and bridge on the amp. So my amp is pushing 2ohm. The amp is pushing the full 480w Continuous.

i rewired them and they hit extremly hard its ridiculous and they are pushing air all through the car and i ported the box and they are pushing a constant flow its like a fan but they still dont have much outside the car thats what i want the most and the gain is turned way down since you all said that would be a good idea?

hey crunch sucks anyway who conned him into them again??? GO JL or go home...........

actually crunch doesnt suck its actually a good amp and it pushes the speakers well i just had it set wrong so it was my fault it sucked

First of all why do you care what it sounds like outside the car.2nd crunch is shit, now you have decent subs but the amp cant even justify those things, and you cant just port a box to make it sound better every sub has its specs and the worst thing to ever do to a sub is to under power it or put it in the wrong enclosure, the alpines are not meant to be in a ported box
