Derek, have you read my 4-link article? Your comment about a 2-link being the best ride and most lift is a completly un-educated comment. If you think that the 2-link is so great go to www.eng-tips.com and ask them what they think.

2-links have driveshaft issues, u-joint issues, zero articulation (for hittin' sides) and if you ever try to corner hard the rearend is guaranteed to "wash out" first (not very safe.) I assure you I am not making this stuff up just to argue with you guys.

Pdog, if you haven't read my article yet IM me with your e-mail and I will send it to you.

A wise man once said, "Any suspension design will work as long as it doesn't move."

max is more than real smart, hes a genius!!!

hey max, i work at an rv shop, what do you think about diesel pusher rvs? they have the motor behind the rear axle, with a short driveshaft to the rear end, which is mounted pointing backwards..... most of them have a parallel 4 link pointing towards the rear if it doesnt have leafs..... i know an rv is way away from performance, but just alittle mixup in the thread.... i know a bit about rear suspension design on a performance level, so im not saying that because an rv has it, you should put it in your truck, but i found this odd when i started working there.

i can understand that they would have the bars that way to not fight the driveshaft, but they are all equipped with a slip joint.....

In my opinion, I think that there would be a small advantage for a vehicle like that to have a reverse 4-link 'cause...

The motor is in that direction AND reverse 4-links are notorious for roll-understeer. I would think that understeer would be a good thing in a vehicle that big.

Also "planting" the rear tires is not an issue on one of those things.

so, what you are saying is....... a reverse 4 link is good....
