my 2 link I ran on my s10 was fine for 35k miles, before that i had monoleaf for about 40k miles

now i run a reverse lever 4 link and it's been great for 5,000 miles so far.

but I guess I'm the only one preaching that realizes that we're not driving 500HP cars, just 50-150 HP minitrucks

just becuase GM didn't design my suspensions doesn't mean they don't work great for my application

if you raise your truck to half of its full lift in the rear and set you panhard up paralell with the rear end at half lift

Don't think that if you have a 2-link or a reverse 4-link that I think your truck is a piece of shit. As I said, they will hold the vehicle off of the ground.

Why would you build something if you knew it wasn't right? Did you know it wasn't right or did everyone else tell you that they work great? The amount of time it takes to move a gas tank is a drop in the hat compared to the time I'm sure you have in the rest of your truck.

There are plenty of people who disagree with the reverse 4-link and the 2-link, but none that disagree with a foward 4-link...Hmmm, kinda makes you think doesn't it?

Inform yourself before you make a major decision about your suspension, that's all I'm saying.

I C MOST FRAMES NOW WITH CRAZY CANTILEVERS OR SOMETHING IVE NEVER SEEN. SO I REALLY DONT KNOW WHERE TO GO FROM HERE TRUCK IS IN THE SHOP GETTIN SHAVED SHOULD I CHANGE THEREAR SETUP AND IM ASKIN FOR OPINIONS IN THE END I WILL DECIDE MY SELF TANKS

everyone who has a 4 link is gonna hate on it and pretty much everyone that has a 2 link is gonna give it thumbs up. i have a 2 link on my zu and im satisfied with what i have. its all personal preference. just get the facts about the different set ups and weight the costs and benefits of each.

the problem with your friends engine moving is probably due to the drivline pushing into the tranny which is not good. the axle should be moved back enough to where when layed out it doesn't push the driveline into the tranny and when lifted it doesn't pull the driveline out.

yep what arevor said,do what u want but if ur not hittin sidez, then i would just stay with a 2-link,prolly the best ride and most lift

Okay this is the last time I am going to post here...

Derek, have you read my 4-link article? Your comment about a 2-link being the best ride and most lift is a completly un-educated comment. If you think that the 2-link is so great go to www.eng-tips.com and ask them what they think.

2-links have driveshaft issues, u-joint issues, zero articulation (for hittin' sides) and if you ever try to corner hard the rearend is guaranteed to "wash out" first (not very safe.) I assure you I am not making this stuff up just to argue with you guys.

Pdog, if you haven't read my article yet IM me with your e-mail and I will send it to you.

A wise man once said, "Any suspension design will work as long as it doesn't move."
