FarBeyondDriven Does have a point, but if you said you wanted to learn/build your own long travel truck. I don't think that you will get any of those shops to kick down with any geometry info. I had to put in some serious time with a builder here in town to get even the simplest questions answered.

Buying a kit is the easiest way to build a truck, that's for sure.

well when the guys from giant build my friends ranger i was like a kid in a candy store asking every question i could think of and they showed me alot of the geometry of thier front i beams and where the strong and weak points were

lol i just noticed the boat chair on top of this truck.. how gnarly would that be to strap into that !

That's really cool that were willing to answer some questions for you. Those guys do some pretty clean work.

hey max if you dont mind me asking, what type of pins are you using in those spindles on that f150?

also, what are some good sites to buy parts from?
BioMax   +1y
The pins are from Tube Works. They are the same pin, hub and bearing on all four corners.

As for websites...I don't know. I buy all of my parts from 3 different places and they take care of me 'cause I buy so much from them. If you are a shop I can give you some place to start, but as a consumer KarTek has everything under the sun, but you do pay for it. Other then that, there isn't any place that I can help you with.

Are you looking for anything specific?

i just want to buy stuff for myself, dont have any plans of building more than one.....

does tubeworks supply to the public or do you need to go through a dealer?

Tube works will sell to the public, but if you are going to build something that big I would use KarTek's hub kit.

If you are not going to beat the living shit out of it, You can easily use stock car stuff. Check out www.stockcarproducts.com they have a bunch of medium duty pins and hubs, at a way more reasonable price, like only 25% of the cost of the big stuff.
