I would recommend JL but if you run a W7 run a 1000/1 JL amp on it for best sound. I have a buddy who is hitting 123 decibels with one 13" W7 on a 1000/1 JL amp. Well worth the money if you ask me. But if you want something cheaper go with fosgate for the money they sound awesome.

I can burp louder than a 123.

It depends on what you want to do. Are you looking for good clean impact, sound quality, or pure balls to the walls loud?

Don't let anyone tell you one thing is better than the other. Any KNOWLEDGEABLE installer will tell you it's 5% equipment, 90% install, 5% beer during install.

Tell us a little bit more about what you're looking for, and we can help out a little bit more.

Ignore the people that say 'so and so will kill this' because that's like comparing apples and oranges.

well i looking for something that sounds clean, no of that rattling shit i hate that it sound so ugly. i was told dynomate wiil take care of that. but im not to familiar wit audio barands. but i only have a singal cap and im not to sure if i want to do a cut thru cuz then it will be a bitch taking my bed of, but im scared thats the only thing i can do to put someting good in there!

There are plenty of single cab setups out there that get loud AND clean. A center console is almost a must though.

Yes, any type of sound deadening is going to make a world of difference. Deaden everything you can, for the best results. The less vibration, the louder/cleaner the sound.

Given the choice. I LOVE my Arc Audio Flatline. It's comparable to a W7 in sound quality, AND get's fairly loud on around 800-1200W daily. AND you can stick it in under a cubic foot, and it will be just fine. If you have the room for the basket (it's a big suckkker), then you can basically box off a center console and get a damn clean sound. I'm also a big fan of Soundsplinter, FI Audio, Ascendant Audio and a few other up and comers. I shy away from most larger brands due to issues with warrenties in the past.

US Amps just bought out RE Audio, so you can now find RE dealers around that will get you a damn good product for a decent price.

REMEMBER. When you buy a product like Boston/JL/MTX... You're paying for the name. You can find the same quality for a fraction of the cost.

My suggestion would start with an eclipse deck, the image dynamics waveguides,6.5 mid bass drivers in their own enclosure and then 2 of their 12 in dual voice coil subs. here is their link....http://www.imagedynamicsusa.com/public_release/
their tweeters are 1oodb 1w/1m very efficient and the frequency they run at means all you need are two mid bass and 2 subs for total sound package. Their sub woofers are light, efficient, and are built solely on sound quality.

i have 2 10" jl w7 with a 1000/1 jl amp and i have a blow threw box. and its ported but the box is in the bed fiberglassed and plexiglassed. it sound loud and clear. JL is worth every dollar and i dont regret spending on them. and jl backup there product.

Most fiberglass enclosures you will see in car audio are going to be 2/3 wood to begin with. The only major fiberglass construction is around the face (hence the bulgeing woofers and such). Fiberglass isn't bad, but be sure to reinforce it heavily on the inside with bracing.

Some people even make false fiberglass covers over the top of their 3/4" MDF boxes.
