BD question?

how far to lay pinch and how far to lay rocker? just wondering. im going to be doing a stock floor bd and i just wanted to know exactly how far down i need to go? any pics of stock floor bd's would be awesome!

also if there is any other advice for things i should look out for to make this less of a pain please let me know! id like to get as much info on this from you guys that have done it so maybe i can post some pics of mine when im done or atleast have a thread for others like me to read for questions or comments. thanks

wait a week this place clears out on the weekends...

i not exactly sure but i wanna say 2 1/2 we did mine 3 inches but i think thats bout right.....if ur doing a stock floor the only piece u sould really have to do is the frame section under the cab and the front frame horns if u wanna do it the easy way... i did a convention but i know ppl that have took that route

lay out the truck so in lays frame then just measure from the rocker to the ground, we did mine to the pinch and it was 2 inches, to the rocker is about 2 1/2

anyone else? i know there are a hundred of you that have done this. help me out!

I hate to be the one that says it, but its been posted a million times and its really not that hard to figure out on your own. Just do some measuring and some basic math and its not too hard to figure out.

first of all DICK im asking for pictures and advice like things people should have done in the process but realized too late so i dont make the same mistakes. i know it has been posted a million times but nothing has come out of those posts thats informative thats why i posted and to maybe get a thread started so it was a reference to others. next time you decide to post on a thread that doesnt concern you or your 80's model rides do it somewhere else.

take a 2x4... put it across your frame rails then measure the distance from the pinch and the rocker to the top of the 2x4... easy.


Why does everyone always care about how many inches their BD is?? I personally have no fuckin clue what mine is... all i know is its 1.5" from the doors. Always seems like a dick measuring contest to me.
