id like to get some ART arms too. ive already broke 1 BYC arm. they blow ass!

Was your failure the same as juice?

ALSO, MY PROBLEM INTITIALLY STARTED BECAUSE WHEN I HAD THE JUICE ON MY TRUCK I DIDNT HAVE A LIMITING STRAP. WHEN I HAD FULL BATTERIES THE MOTHER FUCKER WOULD JUST JOLT UP. A COUPLE TIMES HERE AND THERE THE CONTROL ARMS WOULD HIT THE FRAME WHEN THAT HAPPENED. NOW, IM NOT SATING IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE ARMS, BECAUSE IT HAD A LOT TO DO WITH THEM. IF THE BALL JOINT PLATE WAS ACTUALLY "SLEEVED AROUND THE ARMS IT WOULD HAVE HAD A TON MORE STRENGTH DUE TO THE EXTRA SUPPORT.

AND TO ANSWER THE QUESTION ABOUT THE SSC ARMS, I WOULD BE A LITTLE IFFY ON GETTING A SET OF THOSE. THE UPPER ARMS ARE BUILT SOMEWHAT SIMILAR TO THE BYC ARMS. IM NOT TRASH TALKING THEM AT ALL. IVE NEVER USED THEM AND I DONT REALLY KNOW ANYONE WHO HAS USED THEM. BUT BY LOOKING AT THE DESIGN, THEY DONT SEEM TOO APPEALING TO ME.

I figured that might have helped but other people have had failures with bags.My original post was to tell people they might not have received the intended ball joints.Alot of the joints have half the travel as the long throughs and I have received shorts in almost every brand.Same box.Same name.Same company.Different joint. One company may buy ball joints from three different suppliers.Im not telling people byc arms are ok.I am telling people if they where sent these short joints they will fail 100% chance of failure. As for the gusset byc had a good arm just not enough surface area on the plate and3/16 instead of 1/2.If you look at any arm bassed on a byc you will find more surface and a thicker plate. These are good arms and take force in the correct direction. If you bottom out or top out the arms though it won't hold no matter how strong they are. That is not the total reason for your byc failure though.Just not enough meat.

For the most parts... The majority of minitrucks are fine with stock arms. My toy sits flat with stock arms and spindles. Bobby's Older Toyota sits flat on 20's with stock arms. I've known isuzu owners that sat flat with 18's. What it comes down to is there may be fab work to get them to sit flat. On my truck its just different placement of the strut bar. Control arms are luxury items for most. I've seen many s-10 with 20's stock arms with spindles. If you aftermarket arms are hitting your frame then that is a design flaw. If you don't want to buy short rams get straps. If you are on bags and it does it, shorten your cups. Like I typed it comes down to some fab work.

Fab work? no people like the bolt on, and if somethihng require fab work or doesn't do what they want, its the companies fault. That BYC arm was because of the over extention of the control arms, this is the owners fault for not limiting the lift but yes, its BYC issue also because it should have been built tougher for the people that don't know much about fab work. I've gotten a few sets of BYC arms and worked through what I havn't liked about them and now its working fine, its not that difficult, just spend some time looking at the way your suspension works and check everything before maxing out everything.

ow yea, and so far i've been the happiest with moog ball joints, I woudn't use anything else. (as far as stock replacement goes)

I thought that too Phil so the last s10 uppers I ordered where moog. They sent me 20 moog boxes with 18 moog joints and 2 of these shorts that keep popping up.Thats better than most brands though, most of them had a equal number of three different joints. The only thing I can do now is check the boxes and send the shorts back.

The one's stamped Q5 don't work.

the person sitting in the Q5 is fired! haha that sucks, so much for quality, wonder if they heard of ISO 9000. haha

Our arms were designed and tested by me. We designed them completly from scratch and have had no problems with them. The upper ball joint plate is wrapped on both sides of the tube and also goes inside the tube for a better joint. If you have any questions on them you can email me at clyde@silverstarcustoms.com or call us at 662-342-6763.

Thanks
