narrowed rearend....?

So I talked to a guy in town today and he is gonna narrow my rearend for 400...beats the hell out of the grand I seen the 3/4 tons listed on car-part.com.


So the question do I narrow it 2 inches on both sides?

Im thinkin it should be more like three or four

for what? 22's?

At least 3 or 4 " per side.

Is that just the housing or can he narrow the axleshafts also? Who is he for future reference?

He is doing the housing and shafts

I'll have to keep that in mind in case I need to narrow mine.

Are you gonna center your pinion while your at it? That will cause you to have to shorten one side more than the other.

you need to narrow it at least 7 inches

my stock rear masures 55 3/4" from backing plate to bp and the P30 rear is about 44" from bp to bp

yea you want it to be about 44" from bp to bp
