im building an s10 with the 3x2 rails from autoweld.... anyone that sells 3x2 mandrel bent rails strongly recommend that you run a rollcage or at least a roll bar with it. there is a bit of flex... the 4x2 rails are alot stronger. im incorporating a good bit of round tubing, and possibly even a backbone for the frame that cages in the driveline. i really wouldnt recommend using the real thin stuff for bulding a basic ladder frame like most do.

I hear that S-10 is going to be badass.....

Gotta love them for the price. Pick up a whole frame of 2x3x.125 madrel bent for about 725, each back half rail is about 100.

Can you get them with c-notches in them?

what sense does that make?

take a look at what they look like, you can angle and trim them more or less depending on the clearance you need and what not.

im guessing those rails from applied racing are also very thin wall tubing.

This is the disclaimer listed on their webpage:

NOTE: Modification or removal of stock rear trunk floor is necessary for proper installation, along with the addition of an 8 or 10 point roll cage.

It would require a rollcage for structure since its built out of thin wall tubing. Same reason Cris is building reinforcements on that s10 backhalf.
