I just installed the easylift belt driven onto my truck this past weekend, and ive already had to fill it with oil twice! Everytime i check it with the dipstick, it's bone dry. It's spitting all the oil into the water trap. Is this normal to have to fill the compressor up this much? i have a feeling this is not normal. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Go to the kilby enterprises website, i think i saw a write up there that shows you how to make it not spit oil. All they did was pull the head and put a sheetmetal screw in a certain hole so the oil couldnt come out anymore. Its a york right?

yeah its a york. It's the kit from easylift. For as much as a paid for it, it shouldnt have any problems.

mine is 7 months older and still spits a ton of oil. its just something you live with. i've heard good and bad about blocking the hole. its been so long i forgot where i've read either.

hell let it spit back into a reserve then you will always have oil when its not overfilled....

not the best kit to have boughten but since you already have it i would call and get a new one, ive never had that happen with any of my yorks and i use them on everything, i add oil like every 6 months.
