I used to roll my Datsun an inch off the ground, and I liked the ride (or lack thereof) of the Firestone bags over the axle at that height- very soft and bouncy. I used Napa/ Monroe shocks, which offered little damping, so the truck would hit the ground over dips and such, but I dug it at the time.
NOW, with that said, here we are a few years later, and the cab and front clip are in my garage and the frame is at the dump, because you can't have a daily driver that's constantly hitting the ground or bouncing around!!
You'll have to make the choice on your own, but Max is right- to set your suspension up properly, you should leverage it with bellow bags. Good luck!
