i don't know how many are interested but i work at Industrial Metal Supply in Riverside,ca and i get all metal at cost (which is a good thing..)and get to use the band saw , shear and precision saw for nothing so if anybody near me needs anything hit me up.

I cut a piece of 3x3 3/8" wall in my HF bandsaw. It took like 8 hours. I set it at midnight and went to bed, got up at 7:30 and it was almost done.

we have one of those small bandsaws like that at work, its nice for small pieces of aluminum, but def dont wanna get one to cut big stuff alot.....

My HF badsaw does ok. It is a litte on the slow side. But I ussually start cutting a piece, weld a couple things and it's done. I always WD40 the hell out of it. Don't use the HF bandsaw blades they suck. I get my blades from a local industrial tool place. They cut good.

I like my oxy / acetylene torch for cutting alot of tube and use it to cut plate too. I have a pretty decent older bandsaw that I use too.

I use a chop saw with a metal blade or a plasma cutter. The chop saw works killer no sparks either.
