Agreeing with what Russ is talking about. Not bashing Shawn's mazda at all, that is a badass mazda and major props to him for it. Can't wait to see what he's bringin' out next. Hopefully Shawn gets lucky on a buyer that will pay him what he's put into the mazda, I'm sure Shawn will get a good buyer thou? But for everyone else that tries to sell their projects, unless the buyer has cash in hand or has a bank that will loan 3 times over blue book value of a 90 something mazda then don't expect to get paid on your vehicle. It's an expensive hobby. Why you're better off getting an old trashed truck and rebuild it then getting a new over priced truck and depreciate the hell out of it that it's not worth. Mini-truckers I hear alot that half way thru their builds they get tired of working on it (bored) and want to start another new fresh (virgin) truck. But waisted all their earned (or not earned - credit cards/bank loans) and can't afford another truck. So they then try to get every penny out of the current truck or try to break even. That's when mini-truckers hit the wall and realize that the truck is not worth a dime.

Experienced mini-truckers that have gone thru alot of projects know this. But all the new mini-truckers that are on their first trucks say that they don't expect anything out of their vehicles when they sell them. But when it comes time TO SELL their pride and joy they learn fast that you don't get out of what you put into it!!!

Curious what it does end up selling for.

Exactly why I do not have a truck anymore. I'm not building another until I am financially stable. That way it will be shown then stored forever like my car will be.

if this gay thread doesnt get deleted its just because of the status and fame of the truck, bullshit politics are everywhere, but everythread anyone else creates that says im selling my tuck is gone within hours.

i dont think this thread has anything to do with politics, it clearly went from a FOR SALE add to a pancake thread. Well more than anything its a pretty good discussion on the resale of minis. I know when i built my truck that was on the cover i easily had 25 grand into it and i sold it for 10. hell of a loss, you think that would teach me a lesson, shit, instead im building three trucks now that im going to loose my ass on. but i dont do it for money. i know its a wash. I do it for me, and i do it for my club. I want to represent to the fullest.

yeah when mines finished im gonna keep it its cheaper to re-build than start all over...considering all the shaving and suspension and frame work is done. just re-do paint interior and maybe a front clip.

I wouldn't listen to anything russ d says. he is a homo pole smoker Seriously though everything so far has been correct, except the complaints about topics being deleted. I have over 6k just in suspension and not counting the BD or the body work i'm doin. Blue Book is nowhere near that. I'm just gonna keep doin crap until no more mods exist in the world
