you have to look at it like this. some of us own businesses and when you own one, you have to build things that will sell, or at least hold value. my nissan wont hold value, but its not going to be an all out build, but if i was to pick up an older car/truck, then it would be built the way i like, but also so that it would sell.
the guys that do this as a hobby dont understand the business side.

he said he would never build a ride for HIMSELF because it wouldnt sell good. he didnt say build a ride with the intention of selling it. if hes not going to build a ride because hes going to lose change years down the line when he wants/needs to sell it, thats rediculous........that is....if hes building it for HIMSELF.

First of all if you think all old cars get what you put into them or even make you a profit your dead wrong. Yes there is a better chance that will happen with an old vehicle than with newer customs etc. but I know people with 120Gs into a full blown custom hot rod, but they were lucky to get 75Gs for it. It happens in all forms of the automotive world, If you dont like the hand thats delt, stop playing the game.
I see it as a hobby.
Your grandpa will never get reimbursed for all his T-times at the course, no matter how many times he goes or recipts he keeps. He takes its as a loss, the price to do something you enjoy.
All you people that think your going to get $bank$ for your truck by selling it right after it gets features A. your wrong, The only people that would like your truck are fellow minitruckers who have their own projects to worry about and no cash just laying around. B. You shouldnt be in this sport, because you've lost all sight of the reason you got into this sport. We dont do this for a shinny trophy or a few pics in a mag that only we all read. Yea those are nice perks of the game, but not the reasons we play..
