it would be easier to teach her to drive sticks

You will need the carrier bearing for the driveshaft too it is a different diameter for an automatic then a stick. You can't get one at the parts store either dealer option only I just went through that on mine they sell the stick one at the parts store but it won't work.

the crossmember is already on the frame, its the cross member that is behind where the manual crossmember is, u will need the mounting bracket that bolts to the cross member to the tranny

listen to the tyler.

For the automatic you will need the idle-up solenoids. These should plug into your existing wire harness, if it has power steering or AC it might already be present. Kind of a mess to deal with and I'm not sure what would all be needed, but the computer does kick the idle up 200 rpm when the automatic is in drive. You can probably get by without.

Oh, you'll also have to run a vacuum line from the modulator on the side of the automatic tranny up to the intake manifold otherwise it isn't going to shift right.

tim man i think its time to find a girl whos parents dont control them deciding if they want there kids to learn how to drive stick or not. i wouldnt do that for any chick man autos suck by the way how old is this chick she cant make her own decisions? take her around the block with the new truck and see if she can drive it. see what kind of potential shes got

That's the only way to go. Being a girl is no excuse to need an auto, lol. My grandma drove a manual, my mom drives one, and my ex drives one.
