Need help building a 4 link for my Nissan

On my 1st attempt when I aired it out the rearend went too far forward and pushed the motor and tranny forward. On my 2nd attempt it tilted the rearend too far back and pitched the yoke too high. NEED HELP.

you need to set it at ride height. set pinion angle and make sure its on the center mark of the notch.

like james said set it at ride height(try & keep the bar parallel to the ground at that height)... ive always set my pinion at 3 degrees down(might be right might be wrong but its worked on every one ive done) another to watch out for is the bars bein parallel to each other front to back(meanin if the front pivots are 8" apart make the back pivots 8" apart)...if they arent that will cause the pinion to change also......

yeah, set up your bars at ride height, and also sounds like you have your bars way off as to how the are. they should be close to parallel. if viewed from the side of the vehicle. just look through all the tucks here on ssm, there is thousands of pics of four links, just "copy" someone

Forget that whole 'parallel' bars nonsense. Unfortunately thats been the bad info passed around the net for the better part of a year, if not more, due to peoples lack of understanding of rear suspension design. I don't have time to make some animations, but maybe soon for my site, but here are some pictures that I saw on S10Forum regarding a similar question.

The first picture shows parallel, yet unequal lengthed upper bars, and their pinion angle change through range of motion. The second shows the same length bars, only with the upper angled downward, thus giving the vehicle some good 4 link characteristics.
