LS1 intake manifold fit on silverado 4.8 engine?!?! HELP!!

my question is will a ls1 intake off of a 1999 z28 camaro fit on a gen III 4.8 engine that is in a 03 silverado? they are basically the same style engine, i have heard it will fit but i wuld like to see if anybody on here has ever done it..thanks guys!

yes they fit but you need to use the car accessories unless you can rig something upto work, they mount different on the cars and trucks and i believes its the trucks they use a hole in the manifold as a mount.

they do work, but work is needed for em to.

make sure its from an 00 or up, so its the LS6 that came factory on all ls1's, if its before that, its a waste of money imo.

shit i just won a ls1 intake off of ebay but its a came off of a 99 camaro...guess thats not gonna work huh?..and what do u mean by the car accessories?

ok so i got the intake and it does fit right on and i see where u guys were saying i wuld have to use the ls1 car accessories cuz it seems like my alternator needs to move over a lil bit now..does anybody know where to get any of these accessories or witch ones i need? please help..i also need some intake bolts too..

yea the intake i bought came with the injectors and fuel rail for the ls1..witch the plugups for my stock 4.8 injectors are different from the ls1 injectors so i guess i needa cut the injectors wires off of a ls1 motor and wire them to my wireing harness?

you'll prolly need a computer too, i dont see your stock computer working......

dang switching the intakes is a bitch it seems i shuld have just kept my stock intake and cut my wiper cowl..lol

the 6.0 truck intake makes more power , but i guess for clearance ls1 is shorter
