to me the front ends look similar...even the lines except for the fenders....looks to me ike the jap hood could possibly be very similar if not the same as a 01-04 hood....the lines look like they drop the same as the new grills....i know the bed is different but again to me the doors and cowl looks the same...the fender where it meets the cowl looks the same....i wouldnt be surprised if all you have to get is a different core support....but jeff, check the customtacos guys...some of them work for toyota and may have a connection
