there is a guy in town with a bagged s10 with his shocks mounted horizontal like that, some shop did it and we give him hell about every time we see him.

Draw a line 90 deg from the shock angle (even if it ends up past the shock it self) to the inner pivot. The length of that line is the "effective" length. The shock angle will change constantly depending on the amount of travel and starting angle. If you plug the shock points on the mounts in question into this diagram (at full compression) the effective shock length will be zero or maybe even a negative. As the suspension droops out the efective length gets longer.

We've got a couple different ideas, but none that I'm completely satisfied with/set on doing. Just trying to think of something that's exponentially more effective than the current arrangement, not just marginally so, and not look like a total afterthought/add on to the overall setup design, lol.

how's the ride without the shocks? If you can notice a considerable difference with them on,are they not doing there job?
