i agree the rolled copper is usually much more weaker and brittle if you put the least lil crease in that section is trash , cant fix the crease...
didnt think about the black soot from the diesel. why dont you just run the factory exhaust but have it raised up so it dont drag and put custom bends in it to contour the frame and pass thru the notch and out the back... running it in front of the tire will cause the sootto get on your rims and also the heat comnig from the exhaust will play with your tires by adding extra heat to them, that is why ford did away with the exhaust that exited in front of the rear wheel...

no one around here can been me sections for the 5 inch exhaust that i have. plus i plan on not cutting a whole section out of the floor, im going to make it to were the notch barely sticks threw, and the pumpkin has a door it will push up when it hits the floor. mostly becuse i want my truck to have a stock apperance other then the wheels, laid out and billit grill and blacked out look.

plus i didnt know about turning my exhaust down becuse my egts are a bit high and i didnt want to start a fire haha. im stumped on this exhaust...

if the exhaust int gonnabe seen take you 5 inch pipe and just cut angles to make it fit, but then again if nothing is gonna show why not just leave it where it is or are you gonna run bagsover the axle?

everyone of the new trucks (dodge, chev, ford) both now and when I worked at Ekstensive we have used firestone 20c bags front and rear (its a bag off of 18wheelers). That is what I have on my dodge as well. As far as the copper goes my dually is done with all copper, there isnt one inch of DOT on it and it was all soft roll copper. I have a mazda that has been done since 1996 with copper and it has never had a problem... My exhaust is cut off in front of the axle, been that way for 74,000 miles and i have never had a problem. If you are only running 22s on the truck you shouldnt have to do anything to the stock frenders up front and in the back it will lay with just a c-notch. Inside the bed the fenders will have to be wider but you wont have to cut a hole in the bed at all.

baggeddogs, i just talked to bill at ekstensive and he said he doesnt make arms for my truck. do u think i can get away with stock arms and drop spindles and get it to lay? just make a bag plat and bolt it to the cast arm some how? the rear on 22's the pumpkin wont come into the bed? im just running stock 16's on the inside. and can i get away with a wishbone setup in the rear? also where can i get the firestone 20c's? thanks for the help man, ive got 100ft of soft roll 3/8's now.

did you talk to bill? Im sure if for some reason they dont have a jig for that truck you could send them a stock arm and they could build one off of it.... hell if they cant I will do it for you. The 20c bags I sell them for $145 each, I know Ekstensive has them we used they use them all the time!

baggeddogs: i didnt talk to bill directly, i emailed him, and he said they dont make anyparts for that truck. i thought it was the same arms from 01 to 07 classic. atleast from what ive seen i thought. i cant get away with sending stock arms away as i use my dually as my daily driver. do you think i could get away with using the stock arms and drop spindles? and just bolt a bag plate to it? also what kind of link setup would you suggest? i wanna keep my tank in stock location. and also i have about 200hp over stock and not sure on torque, maybe about 200-250lb ft's i think. what i have is a s&b intake, predator programer and 5 inch straight exhaust. thanks for all your help man.

also i dont have to cut my bed floor at all?

Have you thought about running your exhaust under your axle. As long as you don't get crazy lift it will be good.

i was thinking about that too as i have a diesel in my ford and want to bag it soon. hmmm, but i dont know your runnin 5" so it might look wierd, but your ride hight is probley gonna be low enough that it will not be seen
