lol good question man. me and a buddy were just wondering the same thing. I know where there are a few wagons in a local scrapyard and we were joking about doing my hilux like that.

sean from MIC has a customers toyota truck with hydros and cantilever set up, sean takes truck on a test drive, sean rolls truck over onto roof with crazy 3 wheel, hilux goes to owner of the truck that rolled over... the owner, mike self, mike self as in past editor of MT and STREET TRUCKS, hes on myspace somewhere

i thought i read an article written by mike and it said he was tired of getting a kink in his neck when trying to see stop lights in that truck.

Haha, booger's waaay off. I wouldn't take a man's truck away from him!

I bought the truck for $1800 because Sean was just tired of looking at it and wanted to put money into his rally Subaru. It was a '78 and I couldn't get it smogged (that's when CA really Nazi'd down and everyone was scared to do hookup smogs), so I traded it for a CRX with the intent to flip it and make some cash.

From what I've heard the guy still has the truck, or at least it's in the same area (Vernon, CA). Someone saw it at a car show around there a couple of years ago. BTW, I think Sean was building another Toyota -- not sure if it was going to be exactly the same or not though.

And yes, that thing was a pain to drive. Fun, but not the least bit practical!
