theres one on our site i think,
i didnt do it robbie did.

its not that hard.
find a good donor pic of brushed aluminum or brushed steel and use overlays over grays and silvers

hey matt, i love how you worded that... "it's not that hard" follow with "find a good donor pic of brushed aluminum or brushed steel..." i've actually tried this, no the technique isn't too hard, but finding good donor pics is. the problem is when you get multiple donor pics, all of them have totally different lighting, different patterns in the metal depending on how it was grinded, and too many curves and bends to make the donor's look natural on your truck to name a few problems...

only way to make a rendering with bare metal is maybe graphics only. i really don't see it possible to take a bone stock fully painted truck and make it look like bare metal and actually make it look good. but i'll be more then happy to stand corrected if someone can proove me wrong, but i believe it's just a little bit more work then it's worth...

Google has a lot of bare metal wallpaper sized pictures and ucan change the lighting a little but ur right on the money with it not looking real.

I have a 10ft by 8ft table with grinder marks all over it it was done to be artistically. I took some pics with a 8mp camera and I used those for the baremetal stuff I did.

Never on a rendering... on logos and such. They overlay nicely on text and smaller surface areas

Now that I think of it
Bare metal with smoky clear over it would look dope in the flames for my rendering and paint for my project.

But anyways back on topic.
Post up some pics of ur baremetal when it turns out I'd like 2 see it

that's pretty small to get a good opinion but from what i can see it looks pretty good. at first it makes you think it's marbalized but when you see the black rims and shop on the side your brain puts 2 n 2 together to realize that it's a hotrod and not a lo lo....

post up the actual rendering, i gotta see this...
