Thanks guys. I'm happy with it, just wish it would have been done 6 weeks ago like promised. Lol.

Pascal, can you just tell me a brand of glass thats good to get? I didn't really get all that. I've heard PPG is cheaper glass, and mine fits like shit. Theres like an 1/8" gap in the corners and it leaks.

it leaks because whoever did it sucks at their job... like i said i actually like ppg glass. it also depends on what molding whoever installed it decided to use on the glass. there are universal moldings that dont usually fit as well.... whoever did the job should have known it wasnt just an everyday customer job that you can get away with all that bullshit... thats what pisses me off is i would love to do cutom work but im stuck with doing camrys all day.. this guy gets a custom job and screws it up. sory i just realized i was vernting too hard.... the molding gap isnt whats causing your leak... if there is a gap it was probably controlable while the urethane was drying and now you are going ot have to just rely on the sun to hopefully set it down a little better.

to answer your question about what glass to get... if it really is the glass that is messed up and you arnt happy with it... make whoever do it redo it. as far as glass to use.. carlite ( which is your factory glass) is the best option always for best fit, best cooling job, just all around best made glass. but what i was saying earlier is if you dont want to go the factory ( which they call carlite ) route, then try and get an "lof" (libey owens ford) glass. its just another glass manufactor that has many vontracts to make newer cars production glass.

Okay, I think you don't realize that my windshield doesn't glue in. Its got a gasket all the way around like older rear windows. And the corners are not the right shape, so there is a big gap between the gasket and the cab. I can actually stick wire through it, and even get my finger under the top layer. The glass isn't the right shape in the corners. I'll try to get factory glass. I have to take it out again anyways to redo the headliner.

even if it is a gasket rope in type windsheild... an adhesive is still suppose to be used by safelite certification standards. that doesnt mean that it gets done.. i work on 18 wheelers a lot that have rope in windsheilds and i dotn use any adhesive... if your glass really is a rope in front windsheild that seems very usafe to start with and secondly if it is a rope in and you have gaps... i would deffinatly tell whoevr did the job to get a diferent brand and redo it.

They didn't use any sealant. And they didn't do it from the factory either. The windshield holds my headliner in.

Sounds like you need to get back to doing things yourself seth. Might get done right the first time.

I wish I knew how to do every aspect of the build, but I simply don't. Sometimes its cheaper to outsource what you can't do. But for some reason I'm not having good luck with that. Lol.

seat looks nice!!

Yeah, that window is not the right shape at all. It seats great, but the corners have gigantic gaps.

Just did a quick check, it shows, the wreckers Robbie Azevedo works at has 3 windshields for your truck. That's where I got your back glass. I'll call them tomorrow and see how much I can get one for.

Thanks Pete. I can't find any decent factory glass around here.
