They get to keep them but someone told they had to pay taxes on all of it. That could be why you'll see them on Ebay.

On trick my truck all the tvs are in the back, not where the driver is. And yes it is illegal to view and drive, at least if the driver can see it.

They do have to pay a gift tax on it. Or prize tax what ever you wanna call it.

Don't they have to keep the car for a certain amount of time? so they can't just throw it on ebay the next day. By the way the painter on trick my truck is fuckin rad.

the limo that was pimped was out here, and he had everything in it still, he smashed the front up on it though. also the guy who got the dj setup in his trunk, went to a party and got all the shit jacked out of it, he ended up on judge judy sueing the people who set him up

yes they are responsible for taxes on the products used in the build up. thats what happened on one of the overhaulin vehicles. owner had to sell vehicle to pay the taxes. now that would suck. i know it is all explained to the person before they accept. check out the TLC website

are you serious....thats what what pimp my ride should do...do like a follow up episode on the cars they have done so see what they look like a year later. i bet some of them are just flat out beat to f*&^ by now.

i would have loved to see that judge judy episode...i used to watch her regularly but lately its just been all repeats and stuff so i stopped watchin it.

how much is the tax on all that stuff add to i wonder? i also wonder if the people that get these cars like ever take them to shows or put more money into it to make it their own. like pimp my ride has done some cool stuff but like what if the ownder of the car put it on baggs or shaved it up and so on... hmm.

Most of the trucks do not belong to anyone, they are property of CMT. Most of the "truckers" are either local friends or production peoples friends that want to be on TV. Dad knows Brian (the don) and was asking about getting grandpas old pete tricked out, he said all the trucks are put through a survey where they are given a 1 2 or 3 grade. CMT does not want to touch engine/driveline so anytruck (including grandpas) with those problems will not make it in.
Most of the trucks on the show are pulled out of 4 state trucks junkyard, dirtied up to look run down, and put on the show.
