Pimp my Ride/ Trick my truck

i saw the 49 panel truck or something that MTV pimp my ride GAS (gay ass shit) did a couple years back, with the floor or wall of tvs, they lifted it and sprayed flames on it.

the guy lived here in victorville, ca and he sold it on ebay after his 2 yr contract was up, they told him they basically owned it and did what they wanted with it until the 2 yrs was up, like any sponsored vehicle, then they ripped the TV's and dvds and system out and gave it back to him. he sold it as he got it back just lifted, painted and suped up motor.

we talk to him in public here and he told us that.

thats gay its not even worth you losing your car for 2 yrs for some paint.

look at the retro olds car they put the 22" MTX jackhammer sub in 2 yrs ago or so, it was at sema this year, those guys dont keep the cars.

who cares

ok first all the rides that come out of there are ugly. especially the paint jobs. in the beging they had ok ride. but i have yet to see them bagg anything. untill i see that i still think they suck balls!

So let me get this straight. These shows tend to help people that are down on their luck by fixing up their ride. Only catch is that they have to pay taxes. So they don't have money to fix their own ride, how will they have money to pay the taxes? Also they let the vehicle look that bad in the first place so what makes anyone think once it is nice looking they will treat it that much better?
Chip Foose is sweet to watch, I want him to overhaul my ride.

they bagged a truck on trick my truck. it had a "low rider" theam. they painted it like a old impalla or somehing like you would see in lowrider the mag.

Most of the trucks do not belong to anyone, they are property of CMT. Most of the "truckers" are either local friends or production peoples friends that want to be on TV. Dad knows Brian (the don) and was asking about getting grandpas old pete tricked out, he said all the trucks are put through a survey where they are given a 1 2 or 3 grade. CMT does not want to touch engine/driveline so anytruck (including grandpas) with those problems will not make it in.Most of the trucks on the show are pulled out of 4 state trucks junkyard, dirtied up to look run down, and put on the show.

I have seen 2 of them personally working. Seen Open Range, And Free Spirit. I have pics of Free Spirit rolling down the road still looking good with a her driving it and that cow dog in the pass seat.

Yea like i said there are a few trucks that ARE legit, but most are BS. There were 2 trucks they did motor work on but i would bet that truck belonged to somone on the inside.
Jon ive seen those same 2 trucks on the road too and only those 2, but now that i see those are the only 2 youve seen too i think those are prolly the few legit ones.
