stockhood and 2 1/2 bd?

mine is 2 3/16 and that is to the rocker. we did z the front clip 1/4 when we built the frame for a stock floor. But I have another one that is to the pinch and didn't lower the motor with stock hood, it has been cut for the air cleaner (hood bracing) but would fit. 2 1/2 will work with stock hood. If you lower the motor it will work with no cutting of the hood bracing.....John

ive done a couple with 3inch BDs, just gada cut the webbing for the air cleaner(webbers with LP filters) and the pvc area on VC. two i used honda radiators so had to cut alil for the filler caps to clear. thats 2wd hoods.

I have a 3 1/2" bd laying about halfway through my rocker. i trimmed down a rectangle filter for clearance and had to cut the webbing out of the hood. once i got my weber, it wouldnt clear so i added an eclipse bubble

I havn't read all the posts but I installed a carb and airbreather which put it 3" above the stock air breather, it cleared after bent the hood brace in about 1/2 inch.
