Hey fellas i have an 89 chevy fullsize truck. I bought a fuell cell from a friend who wrecked his truck. I am putting in a 350 carb'd with an auto trans. My question is the cell has two lines comen off of it. Where do those two lines go? Im gonna run an inline fuel filter as well as a electronic fuel pump(external). So i was wondering if anybody can throw together a quick diagram of how it's layed out? I don't know how to plumb the fuel system. So im askin for some help thanks fellas. Let me know!

One is a feed line and the other is a return line. Basically try it one way and if it doesn't work, reverse the line and try again. No harm will be done. So you say its a 89 chevy c10, do you know if it has a mechanical or electrical fuel pump...??

its an 89 c/k. It has the stock 89 pump right now cause besides the suspension the truck is 100% stock. But im swithing to a carb'd motor *350* out of an 82 c10. And was wanting to run my fuel cell cause it looks better than the stock tank in the bed. But i'll be running an electrical pump when the new powertrain is in.

What I was trying to get at, if you have a mechanical fuel pump mounted to the engine block, I WOULD NOT recommend putting on a external pump. It only need 4 psi, if you over due it you will just be flooding your carb. Tell you the truch, just scratch the extra external fuel pump idea. Now on the fuel filter I'd run two. One right near the fuel cell and the other under the hood by the carb. Jope this helps you out Bro. Laters

so what fuel pump should i run? it doesn't have room to drop an intank pump in. It's not made for that.

if your using a 82 c10 350 crate carb and you do want a sllek look with out the mechanical pump, then a small psi fuel pump will indeed work. I just like the mechanical better, no power involved, the good ol 350 pumps it alive. Less problems to me it seems

def go with an external pump.ive got a holly red electric fuel pump from summit, just run one line from the carb to the cell and cap the other inlet off on the cell.or put a vent filter on the other inlet if its on top. it is also better to put the pump as close to the cell as possable like on the frame electric pumps push better than they do pull, and put a filter buy the carb and put 1 by the cell, its alot better to have 2 in case the first one dont catch the trash in the cell. well hope this helps.
