Dwight, I trust Keef in whatever he says. He puts out sick work. Have seen a couple in person and just loved it. He will prolly get my truck when it's said and done as he has put up with my shit for far too long haha.

illblazer, im using aircraft stripper right now, and it's not hardly touching the old school paint. Then again, I am using a shitty plastic putty knife. If I could find my metal ones, I am pretty sure it would go smoother.

we have most all of our race cars bead blasted, the going rate is 100 per hour and weve paid up to 1200 for a vehicle..but its a lot more metal than your typical truck/car

what would be the best media to blast off a layer of paint and all body filler? im very interested in having just my firewall shot to bare metal so i can redo the body work i did when i was still a noob.

I just got qouted $500 for just the outside of a bed. OUCH!!! It was some kind of plastic media. Place was called True Grit Paint stripping out of Austin. $500, no prep, all i need is a layer of paint removed on the outside of the bed. No rust or anything. I would rather spend hours sanding than pay much.

80 grit on a da will do it faster if its factory paint.

sounds like they tried to pull a quick one on your IMO. Call em back about a chevy or ford truck and see what they say. For real, cuz some shops descriminate on makes. I was quote 2k+ for a ford rebuild and called them back about a chevy 350 rebuild just to see.....1300 out the door assembled intake to pan. The 2k+ was with ME ASSEMBLING as well.

I went elsewhere to spend my 1300 dollars on a full intake to pan rebuild.
