6 speed allison into a 94 dually

Has anyone upgraded their automatic tranny to an allison 6 speed.

I really loved the extra gear in my 00, and I miss it....

I think the trans tunnel would need to be inlarged. nice truck..but your econoline is straight badass..

Prolly easy, cheaper to go with a gear vendors overdrive. I cant stand rollin at 3000rpm at 80 in my tow pig...

how hard would it be to swap the whole tranny or would the computer have issues with it

I think that's what I would do. I heard that the allison isn't a very good tranny. Allison doesn't even want their name on it. It was built by chevy and called an allison through some agreement(I think).

I hate that too. Im going to look in to getting new rear end gears pretty soon.

i like it lol it feels like if the engine wants to blow when doing 75 80

if you change your rear gears then youll lose quickness
