Personally I would get it to lay out on the factory stuff then if you get bigger wheels you can put the spindles on and have less work to do. I'm bodydropped on 20s with factory spindles on my dakota so it can be done.

i second that i have 18's with stock spindles and im going 20's with 2" drop spindles and i have to do nothing at all

Where are you getting spindles for your truck. They don't make them for gen3 dakotas.

^^ He's right. Drop spindles will "drop" your truck the amount that it says they will. Plain and simple. However, they don't make any for your Dakota.

Mine lays out on 20's with stock spindles.

Unless you plan on driving it layed out pretty much all the time dont even bother with drop spindles. Mine is set up for 22 in the front with a 2 inch drop spindle, and will lay a 20 with no spindle at all. The lower control are is cut down and plated and the frame is notched like an s10 for travel but thats all. Not as tricky as you would think.

Who sells drop spindles? I looked for a long time with no luck so i got a arms. but if i ever want to put 20s on the front of my truck spindles would be alot less of a headache then having the frame z'd again

They dont make spindles for gen III dakotas (97-04), but they do make them for gen II and or gen I daks. So if you hava a dakota made after 96 (97 and up)than your out of luck.
