fbi sells a good product, and the fbi membership undercuts the fuck out of anyone on the market, go for it. its worth the savings, same damn thing.

Not tryin to be a dick or nuttin ....but wrong they are way different.

I just used a FBI skin on my truck cause it was in the garage and didnt feel like ordering something else..... well fitment was so much of a joke it was pathetic and made it into a real bitch. In past Ive used fbi rollpan and tail fillers on the same truck (but different bed) and they fit perfect..... but the skin from them totally ruined it for me and will never use another piece of fbi sheetmetal on mine or someones truck again.

Whomever said SirMichaels ...i did someones truck with thier rollpan not real long ago (even though i told them to not order one from em) ...well just to save $20 i think it was they did .....and it looked like it had been put into slip roll crooked and rolled completely wrong...it was fatter on one side and comepletely twisted right out the box (not from damage either ...POS was built crooked) ..... had to use it anyways cause some people think you can work miracles and dont understand shit and think if they can save $20 its worth it..... its not

Grant ....well good shit and worth the cash ....its not that much more for god sakes and itll most likely fit a ton better ....now im not gonna say perfect cause thats not always true ... i havent had to or nuttin ...but do know 2 different people lately that have had to have thier tail fillers basically reworked quite abit (not just trimmed)...and the skin massaged just a lil in order to get it just right.... but honestly dont understand why grant evidently must be using a brake to make rolls in the tops of the skins (ya know braking it loosly several times to make a roll) ....cause you can tell it and would have thought they would roll em ....but hey its all good i guess, lil bit of filler work and they ok

All in all .... heres how it brakes down..... for just $20-50 or so its always worth going with who has the best rep. ....and that would be Grant ....it will b worth it in the end....now even with Grant there can be issues as there is going to be with mass producing sheetmetal products for vehichles

FBI sheetmetal ...na stay away not worth the lil bit of cash your saving ....there is a reason its cheaper....not cause they wanna be your buddy, its because its a less reliable product in quality and odds are against you that its gonna fit nice.

SirMichaels ...dont eve remotely think bout it.... never been impressed with any of thier stuff over like 10 years and dont think i will ever be ....IMO junk

I just started to use FBI sheetmetal this last year, and while its not allways perfect, its great for the price. I havn't personally used any Grant stuff, but have heard mostly good things about them. If your saving a 100 bucks, then go with FBI, if its 5 bucks, then go with the grant. I've also used stuff from Guage and that sucked so bad that it never got installed. It was about as thin as a coke can, and was missing part of the body line.

I had a grant pan on my bed thats on my truck now, before i drug it off...and it fit damn good. but the corner pieces were sooo fucked up I had just chunked em and made em with one inch strips.

On that same bed I had grant fillers...they were perfect, didnt even have to trim em.

At this very moment Im building a nother bed and have a grant cal combo... this time the corner fillers were pretty damn good. and the combo fit awesome, just had to trim a sixteenth off of one side. this time i used fbi tail fillers and they fit great too. took a lil trimmin...but nothin major.

I have had good experiences with both, but heard maybe two bad things bout grant.

on the other hand it seems fbi is hit or miss. just depends on if its ur daily or a show truck i suppose. fbi is stamped stuff, grants is hand formed.

i usually try to support grant whenever i can..hope this helps bro...good luck with it

so you got a pan that needed trimming? ive real good buds with a couple dudes from grant and i also carry their product over fbi stuff, the reason is the qwuality, hands down though fbi discount with the membership is way worth the savings, grant sells metal, not golden roll pans, your lying to yourself if you think every pan fbi makes is a joke, obviously you havent used more than a couple pans.

These are people building custom rides, your ride isn't going to be custom if you have to fab something like trimming off 1/8-1/4" from the end. LOL That is WAY 2 much work. hahahahahahhaa

Trimmed ....lmao ....i so wished it needed just trimming ....

na how bout curvature completely wrong, from one side to the other ....so not even uniformly wrong...

top rail roll-over section not even bent correctly and inconsistantly across the entire top...

From top of rail to the bodyline....fron side to side are completely deiffernt ...dont feel like going to the garage and getting a perfect measurementat this second... but one side was minimally 3/16" inch short and the other at least 3/16th to tall from bodyline to rail ..... basically crooked as hell in short simplet terms

Took an insane amount of work to make it fit worth crap...and all in all took bout 10 times as long to do as it would have a decent fitting skin

And your correct when you say i obviously havent used thier shit day in and day out....why? i choose not to....someone brings me something i dont wanna work with ...i simply dont and will not....not worth my time to take something that ya have to wrestle with forever just to get a half ass fitment out of and then still gotta remake the other half with filler ...na not gonna be part of that .....my times more valueble than that to me...lol

You automatically thought trimming was my problem.... which i always wonder bout cause everyone always talks as if trimming thier sheetmetal is a huge issue....hell thats a good thing in my opninion ... if thats all you gotta do ...then thats great ...not reworking it to where ya might as well made it from scratch

Maybe i just believe in better fitment than others might and not willing to pass on something that others might ....god knows ive worked for places that thought something rough as a cob was utter perfection..and thats why i dont work for others anymore lol
