ok so today i decided to remove the black trim on my b2600. the big trim right below the lower bodyline. i am having a hard time getting it off. i was just wondering if anybody has any tips or something i can use to get it off alot easier than just pulling it off? i pulled it off and how i have all the sticky stuff left on the truck. and what about taking the stickers off?

if the stickers are on glass u can spray windex and scrath em off with a razor blade. any extra glue u can take off with charcoal lighter fluid...now as for as the molding...it would have been better to take it off with fishing string...the left over double sided tape...i just think ur screwed...that shits even hard to sand off

I let my dads truck sit out in the sun, then I pulled off the trim and barely left any glue, I also did it with vinyl graphics and they came right off. Try usin some wax/grease remover if you are havin trouble w/the glue. Not gonna lie, its gonna take a bit to get the glue off

thanks for the help. yeah i know its goin to take some time. it was sitting in the sun all day and it still left some of the glue on the paint. so im just trying to find the best way to get that off. and the factory stickers on the paint is for another day.

i had the same probelm on my dakota, fishin line works very well on the double-sided tape and on things like embelms, u might also want to use some heat to help release the adhesive too, i also used some 3m adhesive remover i got from autozone it worked really well on the stickers so i would recommend it, i also called the local body shop and asked them for tips and they said if i wanted to i could bring it in and they could do it for real cheap and fast, sorry for the long post i hope this helps

naw man... heres how u do it..this applies to the moldings AND stickers.... sometimes it helps a little to use a blowdryer or heatgun and heat up the molding or sticker yur taking off, u can use fishing string or welding wire or piano wire to take off the moldings, start sliding it back and forth from behind the molding keeping the pressure off of the body and on the molding, thatll cut right through the glue, once u get it going aways u can tear it off with your hand just grap the molding and pull it off... then yur stuck with the glue... this is for both now.. get an eraser wheel from any local body supply store, its a white wheel that goes on a drill and it rubs the glue off, it takes a little while but better than doing it all with your fingers, it just rubs all the glue off without damaging paint.... so if i was gonna cap this up in short, USE AN ERASER WHEEL to get the glue off... simple as that

^^^ agrees 100% .. get the ERASER WHEEL. Mine was red color though. It was a 3M part. But it will cut down on the glue job tremendously.

The eraser wheel is good idea, but you go to fast you burn the paint, but all the ways will help somewhat, haha
