I want to see some pics of the various ways that shocks are mounted in the rear. What works best and what doesn't for you guys?

Im thinking of mounting my shocks some other way then off of the notch bridge.

It's all about choosing the correct shock for the application before you ever change the mounting position. Mounting shocks to the link rather than the axle can have the advantage of having more travel (especially if you angle the mounting points at a collapsed position) however, this will take away from the overall affect the shock can have on slowing the bounce. The best way to mount a shock is at its peak of effectiveness. This might not necessarily be an angled canti-type mounting style or the straight up and down method. Force can be applied all different ways to the vehicle via shock mounting. Again it

Oh I see. Well I switched out my old Toxic shocks (driver side was gone, because of it maxing out on the upper shock bracket, but I fixed the upper shock bracket already). Im running Doestech's right now. Its a bit bouncy, like too stiff or something. Is that shock too stiff for a mini like mine?

off the notch or bridge to the axle will be the most beneficial way to mount them on an overaxle setup most likely. You want the shock to be as straight as possible. But if your ride is too stiff, maybe just switch to a standard monroe shock that has the travel you need.

Air over axle is always going to be a stiff ride, simply because you have to ride at a higher pressure to achieve lift. Say your ride height is 80 psi compared to someone whos bags are on the bars who may be able to achieve the same lift at 40psi. I'm not sure what you have for bags now but you will get the smoothest ride out of either a sleeve style bag or a large diameter bag like an RE8.

no wonder car manufacturers have horrible handling and ride in all their vehicles, because they dont install their shocks straight up and down with 100% effectiveness on the suspension travel!!
