Inspection Problem, HELP (North Carolina)

if you know anyone who inspects cars this is how we get by. hook the computer up to a different car. but put your info in it. this passes you and you get a sticker now your legal. it works we do it all the time so if anyone says it dont they are full of poo.

until they upgrade their machines to what PennDOT uses. It automatically pulls your VIN from the PCM and sends it, the operator does nothing but hook it up, cant enter nothing, etc.

Hey Terence thanks for all the help man, those were the answers i was looking for.

as long as the chck engine light is off it will pass emissions in nc (im an inspector)and like Terence Newber said no light other than the check engine light can fail emissions as far as the safety part goes lights wipers ect all have to work it would be a long haul for an inspection but i can pass ya if you get in a bind

I might be able to help you. I recently was an NC state inspector at a local jiffy lube. I got my inspection license about 3 months ago and it is good for a year. If you need your truck inspected, I could do it. I have passed minitrucks w/ no headlights, taillights, rear brakes, windsheild wipers, etc.

man i love south carolina...no inspections

replace the multifunchtion switch in the column(wiper/blinker switch) is more then likely the prob w/ ur wipers/blinkers. do the flashers work? also dont take the airbag light out it will make a dinging noise.

Yeah man the fourways still work but not the wipers or the turn signals. Where can i get a multifunction switch?

any parts store or ford will have them.
